When a child lives a story, her horizon is expanded. She can fight pirates in Neverland or have tea in Wonderland, and at each pirate or cup of tea, she learns to dream, she acquires knowledge and improves her language skills.
Based on research that states the importance of literature in childhood, we have developed a project that makes it accessible to everyone. In order to achieve that, we publish original books and also world’s classics. But the coolest part is: at each book we sell, we donate one copy in Portuguese to a child from rural areas.
It’s that simple, you buy one, we give one. And together we can help a lot of kids expand their horizons and see the world from above a beanstalk.

The Donations
Volunteers from the Instituto personally deliver the books to the kids at schools in rural areas. The books’ donation is part of an event with storytelling, group dynamics and debates about social issues, aiming for developing more thoughtful and empathetic minds.
In order that every child of a school or a grade receive a book, donation events take place only when a specific number of books has been acquired/donated.
