On July, 15 children from the rural area of Valinhos received books from the Institute. This time, it was the bilingual edition of The Story of Miss Moppet, by Beatrix Potter, that was given to the 5 to 15 years old kids from the project Aula de Reforço Escolar of teacher Dominique Guimarães Thielemann.
The children read the book aloud, under the trees and hearing the birds sing, surrounded by their dogs who accompany them to class every single day when they walk through the unpaved dirt road. They all live in a rural neighborhood of Valinhos and go to the tutoring classes to clear their doubts and deal with learning difficulties. For the teenagers, one of the major challenges is writing and the English language, thus they were chosen to receive our bilingual books.
The donation of books to rural areas is only made possible thanks to all those who buy our books, since at each book we sell, we donate another one.
