On World Book Day, April 23, and in the month of children’s book, Instituto Fazenda São Pedro brings great news: the launch of the Wonder Bulletin, a biweekly informative with a selection of the best news and tips from the world of children’s literature and nature!
The name honors one of the first books written for children, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, by Lewis Carroll. And we believe that literature and nature are true wonderlands.
The bulletin will be published in our blog and shared on Facebook and Instagram. So follow us there to receive the news or subscribe to the blog!

4/2: International Children’s Book Day
In honor of Hans Christian Andersen’s (1805-1875) birthday, author of The Uggly Duckling, The Little Mermaid, The Little Match Girl, the International Board on Books for Young People – IBBY chose April 2 as the International Children’s Book Day.
Every Year, IBBY chooses as country to be responsible for the date. In 2019, the chosen country was Lithuania and the official message by Kestutis Kasparavičius begins with:
I’m in a hurry! … I don’t have time! … Good-bye! … We hear words like that almost every day, not only in Lithuania, which is in the very centre of Europe, but in many other places of the world. No less frequently do we hear that we live in the age of information overload, haste and rush. But if you take a book into your hands, you immediately feel a change.
