On St. Peter’s Day, June 29, the institute launched the new project Metamorphosis on a talk with Father Luan Flávio de Oliveira. The topic was “If it is life, there must be joy”. The 28 attendees spent a special morning among nature, with many exchanges and learning.
The event began with a coffee break followed by a presentation about the institute, with our mentors Luis Octávio and Maria Zuleika and also the coordinators of the institute’s projects.
Then, Father Luan spoke for one hour on the importance of living with joy and recognizing how each element of God’s creation, be it a plant, an animal or a human being, is unique and deserves love and respect. The atendees were then able to share their thoughts and doubts.
At the end, children from Grupo de Reforço Escolar from the rural area were invited to receive the new book from the institute, A História da Srta. Moppet in a bilingual edition. Representing all the children that receive books from Project Climbing the Beanstalk, they were given the gift wrapped books from the hands of both our mentor and our first customer, representing all the ones who believe along with us in a world in which one teaches through love, whatever it may be.
